CUSTOM PAINTED ULTRASOUNDS
I also provide a service that provides parents to be and nostalgic parents with the ability to hang a beautiful memory on the wall. Upon request I can paint your child's ultrasound on canvas ranging in size from 9" x 12" to 16" x 20". Larger sizes are custom orders and prices will vary. There are many different ways to customize your order in terms of color and material so if you have an idea in mind please feel free to ask me if it is feasible. I will soon be able to offer a painting your child's ultrasound on a belly cast ( which will need to be customer provided) as well and will soon have examples to show. I work mainly with acrylics but also use watercolors and enamels. Even though I have been painting for over a decade I am still learning. With certain pieces of work I incorporate random textured material as you can see to the left, which is my favorite piece that I have done. It consists of about twelve 8.5" x 11" pieces of paper soaked in a water and glue mixture then applied on a canvas without flattening them out. Upon hardening it makes for a neat texture. That along with some one sided corrugated card board and acrylic paint you get this.
Some of my other pieces I will incorporate plaster or liquid gasket maker as well. I lean much more towards wanting to paint on a textured or three dimensional surface for more character. If you take a look at my sculptures you will see why I have such an interest in painting textured surfaces and three dimensional objects.
